Sales Order Processor - Blackburn

Position Overview:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a pet loving experienced sales order processor to join an exciting, fast paced customer focussed business.

The role will be responsible for processing sales orders accurately and on time and will keep customers informed of any issues.

The job holder will have a background in data entry and order processing and will have excellent numerical skills, good organisational skills, attention to detail and excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

Role:

Main Duties (including but not limited to):

  • Deliver targets for processing sales orders and call handling.
  • Complete Pre Order Checks in line with commercial agreements identifying any variances to this.
  • Process customer orders both automation and manual entry in line with commercial agreements with regards to load fill, lead-time and delivery day,
  • Assist in the arrangement of despatch documentation.
  • Access and update customer portal orders and manage customer subscription or order pattern changes.
  • Answer customer order and service related emails.
  • Redirect general email and calls to relevant departments.
  • Ensure all records, systems and paperwork are kept up-to-date.
  • Take and process payments and manage invoices (pro formas & manual).

Key attributes and skills:

  • Ideally at least one years experience in a sales office environment
  • A good understanding of Microsoft Office - especially Excel - and stock management systems
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced environment
